OSRS Worm's Crag Update: New Quest, Slayer Master, Boss and Skilling Activities

Aug-11-2026 PST

OSRS Worm’s Crag island overview showing the new player-designed area and its major content.

Meta Description:

OSRS Worm's Crag brings a new quest, Slayer master, boss, crafting activity and Hunter content, with powerful rewards and fresh ways to train.

Summary:

OSRS has expanded Worm's Crag with the Fallen from Grace quest, Mad Angel boss, Mortimer Slayer master and new skilling activities. This guide covers the key requirements, rewards and early statistics, including the new Treasure Hunt Map Location.

OSRS Worm's Crag: Quest and Combat Content

OSRS Fallen from Grace quest and Mad Angel boss encounter on Worm’s Crag.

OSRS players can now explore Worm's Crag, the first player-designed island introduced through the community-driven development process. The island combines questing, PvM, Slayer, Crafting and Hunter content in one compact destination.

Access to Worm's Crag requires 62 Sailing, while Fallen from Grace requires 60 Crafting, 47 Runecraft and 53 Mining. Around 90 Combat is recommended for the quest, although some island activities are available before completion. Players can also start Goat Hunting at 60 Hunter.

The quest unlocks several major features:

ContentRequirement
Main Reward/Feature
Worm’s Crag62 SailingAccess to island
Fallen from Grace60 Crafting, 47 Runecraft, 53 MiningIsland progression
Goat Hunting60 HunterFurs, horns and pet chance
Mortimer100 Combat, 70 SlayerChoice-based Slayer tasks
Sunstone Golems60 Crafting + questCrafting XP and unique chisel
Mad AngelQuest completionHalofell and rare rewards

The Mad Angel is a repeatable PvM encounter designed as a stepping stone for players who have earned their first Fire Cape. Its core mechanic rewards players who identify damage windows and position correctly.

The headline reward is Halofell, a massive two-handed sword that cleaves nearby enemies. When three targets are lined up correctly, its damage potential can surpass other melee options.

If you're preparing your account for new content and looking for supplies, you can also buy OSRS gold to speed up your setup.

OSRS Slayer and Skilling Changes

OSRS Mortimer Slayer Master offering players a choice between multiple Slayer tasks and special modifiers.

OSRS also introduces Mortimer, a unique Slayer master focused on player choice. Instead of assigning one task, Mortimer initially offers two tasks, with both coming from monsters that have superior variants.

Mortimer also provides special modifiers called fortifiers. Completing more tasks permanently unlocks additional options, including increased Slayer XP, more Slayer points and improved unique-item rates.

After 50 Mortimer tasks, players can choose from three assignments instead of two. This makes Mortimer particularly attractive for players targeting difficult Slayer drops such as the imbued heart.

Sunstone Golem Crafting

OSRS Sunstone Golem crafting activity using Sunstone, golem cores and Hunter furs.

Sunstone Golem crafting offers a new mid-game Crafting training method. Players mine Sunstone, create golem cores, carve the stone and then combine the materials with Hunter furs.

The activity also introduces the Jeweler's Chisel, which gives a 10% chance to cut two gems at once and increases the chance of successfully cutting opals, jades and topaz by 20%.

Goat Hunting

Goat Hunting requires 60 Hunter and provides furs for Golem crafting alongside hides and goat horns. Players can also encounter the rare Mr. McGoop pet.

Following player feedback, Goat Hunting rumors are being improved, with the drop rate changing from 1/50 to 1/40. The activity is also being removed from Guild Hunter Wolf's rumor list to improve high-level Hunter efficiency.

Quick Tip: If your goal is efficient progression, Mortimer tasks, Goat Hunting and Sunstone Golem crafting can complement each other by connecting Slayer, Hunter and Crafting progression.

Worm's Crag Early Statistics

The early numbers show that Worm's Crag has already attracted significant attention. 146,998 players have completed Fallen from Grace, while the Mad Angel has been defeated more than 6.26 million times.

There have also been 51,473 Halofell drops and 33 Hardcore Ironman deaths to the boss. Goat Hunting has seen almost 14 million goats sent into pits, producing 410 Mr. McGoop pets.

Mortimer's most popular tasks currently include Crawling Hands, Araxytes and Cave Crawlers, showing strong demand for his choice-based assignment system.

Overall, OSRS Worm's Crag delivers a broad mix of questing, PvM, Slayer and skilling rather than a single headline feature. With new activities and balance changes still being monitored, the island should remain an important destination for players looking to experiment with different progression routes.

TL;DR

OSRS Worm's Crag adds Fallen from Grace, the Mad Angel, Mortimer, Sunstone Golem crafting and Goat Hunting. The island already has millions of activities completed and is shaping up as a valuable destination for both mid-game and end-game players.
